New Update, Funding and more!

Hello!

It's been a little bit since the last post but that doesn't mean we have stopped development, In July our team managed to get funding from our Universities Launch it scheme!

What does this funding do for us?
1. Covers steam publishing fee.
2. Allows for us to commission work from any sort of related field.
3. Advertisements to help us get our game out there.

4. And much more!

We really appreciate all the support and reviews of our game so far and we will continue to develop it further until we create this fully imagined world for you to play.

In this update, we wanted to solve some issues from our last build as well as showcase a new game mode we have in the works!

Patch 1.1:

Fixes:

  • The game does not soft lock anymore on multiple playthroughs.
  • Player movement going upstairs has been increased.
  • Pages have been changed to accurately showcase the anomaly's abilities and locations.
  • The torch can be used when the generator is fixed.
  • Settings menu sounds can now be independently changed from the master volume.
  • Entity 401 was removed.

Additions:

  • New Anomaly Event game mode - The player must solve a certain amount of anomalies within the time frame to prevent a disaster event from occurring.
  • 3 new Anomaly types:
    • Mimic - loves to change its form into different objects and swap between them.
    • Maid - A difficult anomaly which loves to play hide and seek with you.
    • Object swap - Keep a keen eye on if objects seem to be changing locations with each other.
  • Settings menu to allow for the player to back out and go to other modes.
  • Viewbobing
  • footsteps

Finally, we are announcing our plans to change from Unity to Godot to help with future development, our plan now however is to get our heads back down into development so we can bring this game to its full potential!
